The current form of government that is in South Africa is a Constitutional Democracy with a three-tier system of government and an independent judiciary.
South Africa has three capitals each hold one branch of the government. In Pretoria there is the executive branch. In Bloemfontein is the judicial. In Cape town is the Legislative. South Africa's president is Jacob Zuma. Born on April 12, 1942 he has been the president since May 9, 2009 and still is today. President Zuma was elected by the South African Parliament following his victory in the 2009 general election. South Africa's currency is the Rand (ZAR). The newest design of the Rand was thanks to a man named Nelson Mandela. |
